About us The Friends of the Sterling Heights Public Library, organized in 1976, is a volunteer non-profit group dedicated to enhancing and improving library services for our community. Friends contributions, fund-raising activities, and volunteer efforts support adult and youth programs, maintain and improve collections, and provide new technologies and capital improvements. The Sterling Heights Public Library offers a full range of services for all community residents. Services include: Adult, teen and youth summer reading programs; audiovisual materials; provide residents with educational opportunities; author visits; book talks; technology classes; consumer interest programs; educational cable programming; film festivals; online reference sources; oral history collection; preschool story times; reference and readers' advisory services; wide selection of books and eBooks.
