Ways to help

Museum Educator

Volunteer Museum Educators work directly with our customers providing interactive learning experiences and tours of the exhibitions. They must have a passion for and love of African American history and storytelling activities. Once certified and based on your availability, you would conduct one-hour tours during the week or on weekends between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Evening tour opportunities are also available for special events.

Greeter/Gallery Monitor

We are currently seeking Greeters and Gallery Monitors. Individuals perform both functions on a rotational basis as a member of a self-managed team. Greeters welcome our guests to the Museum on the beautiful Ford Motor Rotunda. Gallery Monitors enforce the rules of the gallery while assisting guests as they move through the various galleries.
