About us Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery receives 20,000 to 30,000 visitors annually through its visitor center, located about five miles west of Kalamazoo. The Friends of Wolf Lake (FOWL) are a dedicated group of individuals with a passion to help educate youth about the outdoors. We are a 501c nonprofit that helps raise money to support the Wolf Lake visitor center in providing programs for youth education. This education can take form in a variety of ways: fishing, archery, birding, outdoor plant & animal identification, and more. We are made up of a variety of members. Each individual member brings different areas of expertise to our group.
