How you help At the Carr Center, volunteers will be a key part of our success… Whether welcoming patrons before a performance, providing the public with information about the Carr, ushering patrons to their seats, or performing many other vital tasks, our volunteers give the Carr its community identity. We know that, without our dedicated volunteers, the vibrant, warm atmosphere that makes Carr Center events so special would not be possible.
About us Founded in 1991, the Arts League of Michigan (ALM dba the Carr Center) has a long and storied history of providing strong programming that focuses on artistic excellence to the Detroit community. A large part of our legacy has been dedicated to supporting artists in the creation of new work and providing a platform for the presentation of a wide array of artistic product to a broader audience.
