Our mission Our mission is to launch a new wave of volunteerism for the many worthwhile programs and activities that are struggling with the issues that trouble our community – illiteracy, high school dropout rates, crime and youth violence, drug abuse, domestic abuse, neighborhood blight and unemployment.

Ambassador Volunteer

As an Ambassador we ask that you: - Sign up. Participate as a volunteer on various ARISE Detroit! /Partner events. - Lend Name. Ambassadors will agree to allow the organization to use their name in public relations materials and in solicitation of key prospects throughout the area. - Spokesperson. Speak positively about the organization and the campaign and be prepared to answer basic questions. Rely on staff and key personnel for detailed information. - Open Doors. Review the prospect list and indicate those with whom they can arrange a meeting. Also, suggest new prospects to add to our list. - Gift. Make a gift up to your financial ability. We seek 100% participation by Ambassadors. - Confidentiality. Always maintain confidentiality as donor/prospect information is shared with committee members.

How you help In order to accomplish these goals, we need key volunteers to serve as Ambassadors.Volunteers are a key link between ARISE Detroit! and the prospective donor/leader community. Your support as an ambassador helps us maximize their reach and increase awareness. By being an ambassador, you may open new doors for the nonprofit organization to attract program participants, raise funds and recruit volunteers.
About us It is our belief that everyone can play a role and render service, thereby having a greater impact on solving these chronic problems. Our goal is to unite the entire community — nonprofit organizations, churches, schools, the business community and the media — in an unprecedented call to action.
