How you help Volunteers and donors help youth gain college-readiness and access to work through a once in a lifetime research opportunity.
About us Nicole Jurek founded Local Circles after working with young Detroiters in afterschool programs for 5 years. She observed that Detroit youth need more exposure to reading, writing, and critical thinking. She noticed youth who engage in academic programs over the summer find success in school and she saw youth who work over the summer fall behind in their studies. We offer Detroit teens an experience in community engagement, leadership training, and career and college readiness through our PAID research program.
