About us The Farmington & Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth and Families was incorporated in August 1995 as the “Farmington Hills Community Foundation for Children, Youth and Families”. At that time the founders were seeking a method to financially support the After-School Program for middle school students. That service, administered through the City of Farmington Hills, was operating under a Juvenile Justice System grant that was about to expire. In March of 1999 the name was changed to the “Farmington Hills/Farmington Community Foundation, reflecting a broader outreach to both communities. In 2006, we formed an affiliation with the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and changed our name from the “Farmington Hills/Farmington Community Foundation” to the “Farmington & Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth & Families” (FFHFYF). Since that time, we have expanded our focus with the goal of granting funds to many worthwhile programs throughout the Farmington Hills and Farmington communities.
