An Ambassador is viewed as a spokesperson for our organization. They are expected to have a commitment to moving our region forward and an interest in Automotive History. They are upbeat, energetic, and knowledgeable. At each event, Ambassadors will, interact with the general public, and serve as the face of MotorCities National Heritage Area.

Some of the volunteer opportunities are ushering (done through outside community groups), working on stage, running concession and volunteering for dark night events. If you would like to volunteer in the Box Office during our season we can always use an extra hand!

These hardworking individuals assist with everything from helping out at events, sending out mailings, walking dogs, fostering sick animals and more!

Our Door-Persons are stationed at each entrance of the theatre. They are tasked with welcoming patrons to the show and ensuring that the doors of the theatre open and close at the appropriate moments.

Volunteers help build, repair, paint, and tear down sets. It is helpful for volunteers in this area to have some construction or painting background. Daytime and night hours are available.

Volunteers are instrumental in sewing costumes, as well as putting finishing touches on projects. Time requirements vary with each show, but hours are flexible with personal schedules.

Our Coat Check attendant is a seasonal position. This volunteer ensures that patrons have a place to “hang their hat” and manages the coat check tags for our patrons personal belongings.
