A safe and clean environment allows our program participants to feel at home and welcomed. We often need volunteers with specialized skills to help update and repair our properties. If you have a unique skill set in building, repairs, or maintenance, we could use your assistance.
Volunteers drive either the box truck or van to pick up food goods from a variety of manufacturers, agencies and churches; drivers are needed 7 days a week.
Help develop an area-specific manual and program to assist pet owners whose pets are lost or missing. Track and communicate medical needs of animals in the rescue. Develop a program to assist pet owners so that they do not have to surrender their pets to a shelter or rescue.
Help place dogs and puppies in forever homes. Certified trainers provide training and advice to adopters experiencing dog behavior issues. Sign-up for shifts to walk and spend time with adoptable dogs in a Clinton Twp boarding kennel.
Help place cats and kittens in forever homes. Provide training and advice to adopters experiencing cat behavior issues. Sign-up for shifts to care for our cats and kittens that live at Petco in Rochester Hills. Coordinate a trap, neuter, return program to manage community cat populations.
Whether it be designing and building sets, decorating the different areas, creating audio/video effects, designing costumes, doing makeup, scaring the bejeebers out of people, working the pay table, helping direct people in the parking lot, walking through passing out water to actors, cooking dinner for everyone at the end of the night, and so much…
There are endless opportunities to volunteer on our ships; from painting and cleaning, to giving tours, and everything in-between. We also have volunteer positions available such as tour guide, purser (Boatel overnight attendant), or gift shop attendant.

The Davies Project is currently in need of volunteers to drive seriously ill children (with a parent) to their doctor appointments, expectant moms to their prenatal appointments, and parents to the hospital NICU to visit their infants.
