We even have opportunities to get involved that don’t depend on direct animal contact for those of you that feel you would “take them all home”: fundraising, marketing, maintenance, and janitorial.

We are seeking willing people to help care for our residents while they await their forever home. These are just a few of the many volunteer opportunities available with Almost Home Animal Shelter: cat cage/dog kennel cleaning, dog walking and socializing, and cat socializing and grooming.

Help out by transporting residents to appointments. This could include employment, housing, medical and mental health appointments and emergency transportation.

Fostering is a very rewarding opportunity. Fostering turns the community into an extension of the rescue, gets pets out of the kennel, and tells us their behavior in a home versus the overwhelming shelter environment.
