Help teach the basics of cooking or assist in the preparation of meals with our participants. Sunday thru Thursday 3-6pm.

Facilitate workshops to develop skills/ coping mechanisms/ emotional stability of participants. Topics can include but are not limited to self‐esteem, harm reduction, nutrition, safety, money management, governmental benefit explanation, and others. Hours vary.

Our mission is to help homeless and high-risk girls and young women avoid violence, teen pregnancy and exploitation, and help them to explore and access the support, resources and opportunities necessary to be safe, to grow strong and to make positive choices in their lives.

In April 2020, 826michigan’s programs transitioned to a distance-learning format for the health and safety of our students, volunteers, and staff. We still need your engagement and look forward to having you join us virtually now and also when we are able to resume in-person programs.
