To promote, engage, facilitate enhanced appreciation, knowledge, preservation, and enjoyable access and use of the Shiawassee River as a valuable natural recreational resource for the families of the associated watershed communities, Michigan residents, and visiting tourists.

To provide rehabilitation and find permanent, loving homes for animals – focusing on those with special needs or conditions that may otherwise be euthanized, as well as to educate community members on the humane treatment of all animals.

The Muskegon River Watershed Assembly is dedicated to the preservation, protection, restoration, and sustainable use of the Muskegon River, the land it drains, and the life it supports, through educational, scientific and conservation initiatives.

To build self-reliance, food security and justice in Detroit’s Black community by influencing public policy, engaging in urban agriculture, promoting healthy eating, encouraging cooperative buying and directing youth towards careers in food-related fields.

To compassionately serve the companion animals in our community by providing the best shelter, adoptive homes, education, and resources available.
