About this event

Detroit Phoenix Center - Assemble Resilience Kits For Youth In Need

Detroit Phoenix Center is a high impact nonprofit organization that provides critical resources, support, and a safe, nurturing environment for youth transitioning out of homelessness and poverty.
In partnership with the Presidential Inaugural Committee, service event attendees will have the opportunity to provide support to youth in need by packing resilience kits.

The resilience kits include:
– information about Detroit Phoenix Center, resources on mental health support + study tips
-Hand Warmers
-Hat, scarf, or gloves
-Feminine products
-Hygiene Essentials: (lotion, deodorant, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, chapstick)
-nonperishable food item(s)
– School Supplies (pen, notepad, highlighter, etc)
-PPE Gear (face masks, hygiene kits, hand sanitizer)

We do suggest that volunteers conduct a donation drive to acquire needed materials for participation. Volunteers will receive more information on how to prepare for Day of Service once they are registered.
