Buses & Bridges: Supporting Youth and Families through Arbor Circle

As part of the Presidential Inaugural Committee and the National Day of Service, West Michigan Grassroots for Pete invites you to sponsor bus passes for youth and families in need through The Bridge of Arbor Circle while learning more about this amazing community resource.

Join us on a Zoom at 1 p.m. EST on January 18 to learn more about The Bridge, Arbor Circle, and how you can continue to support this amazing non-profit beyond the Day of Service. Can’t attend? You can still give!

Arbor Circle is a non-profit located in Grand Rapids, Michigan  that offers over 50 programs and services for children, youth, families, and adults who need supportive resources during tough times, especially now during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Bridge of Arbor Circle  is a safe shelter program for youth, ages 10-17, who are facing homelessness or considering running away. In the middle of crisis, The Bridge offers youth a stable and accessible place to stay. It is located in Grand Rapids and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

Among their many needs is to support youth and families with access to transportation, including bus passes. We have a goal of raising $1000 to provide this resource, this would allow for the purchase of 400 1-day bus passes or 30 30-day bus passes from the local transit system – The Rapid.

Additional contributions above this goal would go to a basic needs fund for the Bridge, which could provide additional bus passes, as well as personal hygiene items, winter hats and gloves, or meals at the shelter.
Please consider giving at one of the following levels:

Youth 1 Day Passes (2) = $5.00
Youth 7 Day Pass = $11.25
Youth 31 Day Pass = $33.75
