On April 19, 35 youth will host a community seedling give a way and planting event to help residents have access to fresh produce

During the month of April, students from the Grand River Preparatory Academy will do water testing and clean up on the Buck Creek to examine the current health of the creek as well as research ways to improve it.

On April 25, 100 students from Freemont High School will clean-up at Camp Newaygo. On April 26th, TrueNorth will host an annual tree distribution and planting event that allows the public to plant saplings in the community.

Volunteers to Support VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program). This project will have volunteers canvasing neighborhoods to inform 2,500 households about free tax assistance.

Cherry Health AmeriCorps members and volunteers will pack 2400 Supper Packs for the Kids’ Food Basket, a local organization that provides food for children experiencing food insecurity.

Soup for the Soul. Volunteers will create dried soup packets for a food pantry on MLK Day.

Generations Over Dinner will be a multi-faceted volunteer opportunity that honors Dr. King by fostering a sense of constructive action, civic participation, and belonging while combating the corrosive effects of hate on our democracy and safety. Generations Over Dinner is a global initiative to create meaningful multi-generational experiences and conversations.
