Detroit Audubon fosters the appreciation and conservation of birds and the environment we share. Our primary focus is to protect birds and their habitats through engaging people, communities, and policymakers in conservation.

To alleviate the pain and suffering of homeless pets by providing shelter and veterinary care, and to ultimately secure permanent, loving homes for animals in need.

To provide no-kill solutions to reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs in Alpena County through education, rehabilitation, and re-homing with the support and cooperation of our community.

To rescue, rehabilitate, retrain and re-home at risk equines (horses, ponies, donkeys and mules).

To assist the community by providing a means to place unwanted healthy, adoptable pets in good family environments and to make the public aware of such animal issues as care, welfare, and the hazards of overpopulation.
