The Muskegon River Watershed Assembly is dedicated to the preservation, protection, restoration, and sustainable use of the Muskegon River, the land it drains, and the life it supports, through educational, scientific and conservation initiatives.

To protect the natural diversity and beauty of northeast Michigan by preserving significant land and scenic areas and fostering appreciation and understanding of the environment.

Our mission is to protect and restore the watersheds of Lake Superior, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron while serving the communities of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

To receive and administer funds for the preservation and development of the For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum including the public park purposes of nature study, nature trails, arboretum, wildlife sanctuary, and conservation education.
