Our mission	Committed to equality, justice, and the well-being of women.

Opportunities	Children's Program Assistant Volunteers assist in staffing the Safe Home, Monday through Friday evenings (typically from 5-8 pm). A commitment of at least once a month is required. Volunteers have direct contact with families staying in the Safe Home. Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor Formal, Skilled Weekdays, Evenings Sales Clerk - Gold Mine Resale Shop Volunteers assist in staffing the Gold Mine Resale Shops Monday through Saturday during business hours (9:30am – 5:30pm). Weekly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site, Skilled Weekdays, Weekends Advocate Volunteers assist in staffing the Safe Home, which provides security and support for survivors of domestic abuse and their children, Monday through Friday evenings (typically from 5-8 pm). A commitment of at least once a month is required. Volunteers have direct contact with families staying in the Safe Home. Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor Formal, Skilled Evenings Maintenance/Repair Services - Safe Home and Gold Mine Resale Shops Assist with maintenance/repair projects, while being mindful of safety and security issues at all times. Notify staff verbally and in writing of any health/safety concerns Occasional 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Physical, Indoor Formal, Skilled Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends

How you help	Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM) was founded by people willing to give of their time and skills to make our community a better place. Through the support of volunteers, WRCNM is able to provide life-changing services to thousands of northern Michigan residents each year.

About us	In 1977, a compassionate, forward-thinking group of women founded Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM) to address critical unmet needs in the community. Many of the services they defined and created are still being offered, today.
