As the center for the arts in Branch County and the region it strives to provide a variety of cultural activities and opportunities and provide a stage for other arts organizations and citizens

Events

Volunteers interested in assisting with Tibbits events: Assist with the preparation of and during events (Tibbits Young Audiences, auction, etc.), Serve on an event-planning committee, Provide food for guest performers, Backstage host/hostess for guest performers, or Driving cast, crew, and guest performers to and from the airport.

Beautification Committee

Volunteers interested in assisting in various duties that help maintain the interior and exterior of the theatre and costume shop: Planting flowers by the theatre, Watering flowers throughout the summer, Decorating for the seasons, Spring cleaning of the theatre, or Spring cleaning of the costume shop.

Tibbits Volunteer

Volunteers are needed in numerous areas – ushers, office, auction, special events, art, behind the scenes, and youth programs – to name a few. You can volunteer as often as you like and in as many areas as you like. The choice is yours.

How you help

Fun & exciting opportunity awaits those interested in donating their time and talent to the Tibbits. Our volunteers range from 8 to 98. They include students, retired persons, stay-at-home parents, and people employed in occupations as diverse as the volunteers themselves. There are many fields of interest that require a small army of volunteers to help keep the Tibbits running efficiently.
About us

Built in 1882, Tibbits Opera House is one of the oldest theatres in Michigan. Located in beautiful downtown Coldwater, it features year-round entertainment from professional theatre and concerts to community events and children’s theatre. Beyond the exquisite facade is an intimate 500-seat theatre with excellent acoustics. Come early to enjoy at drink at the Ghost Light Bar or browse the art gallery and gift shop. Come enjoy the show!
