Our mission

Through one-to-one mentor/student relationships, TRAM strives to empower young people to pursue excellence, productivity and responsibility; to succeed in school, friend and family relationships; and to combat substance abuse and violence.

Opportunities

After-School Program

TRAM is looking for volunteers to help after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 pm to 6 pm. After-School Program volunteers help assist the program directors and invest in the youth in the program. Volunteers help with homework, snack, crafts, games, and monitoring the classroom.

Mentoring

TRAM is looking for responsible adults and high school students who are willing to mentor school-aged children for one hour a week.
We will intentionally match you with a child through our interview process to find a match that has similar interests as you. Site-based mentors meet with the mentee at their school or at the After-School program location. If a child has a high school mentor they will only be allowed to do site-based mentoring. Community based mentors will meet with the mentee at local places in the Three Rivers area such as the park, or free events.

How you help

All you need is a little time and you can change the life of a child.

About us

Three Rivers Area Mentoring (TRAM) is a 503(c)(3) non-profit organization that began in 1994. Our primary focus is to match school-aged youth/mentees with adult or high school age volunteers/mentors. Our overall goal is to encourage youth to see the value of education, graduate from high school, and to pursue further education necessary for their chosen vocation/occupation.
