How you help | Volunteers are needed to help maintain the natural areas by monitoring them, building trails, and removing invasive species. people can also participate in citizen science efforts like vernal pool monitoring and stream sampling. Volunteers may be called on to help at tabling events as an LFC Ambassador. |

About us | We are a small non-profit based in Midland, MI and since 1996, we’ve protected over 4,023 acres of land, 23 miles of shoreline and maintain 860 acres open to the public with 10 miles of trail across 5 nature preserves. ​We strive to have places in nature that inspire connections and communities, serve as a healing and educational space, and allow all ages and abilities access to nature – now and for future generations to come. |
