Ways to help

ShareCare Volunteer

Volunteering is as simple as a once a month commitment helps seniors live independently and well, in their own homes for as long as possible. This could involve providing rides to appointments, running errands, performing handy work, delivering meals, assisting with technology, or being a friendly visitor.

How you help ShareCare is neighbors helping neighbors; volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization.
About us Staying healthy and active are worthy goals for people of all ages, and where better to do that than in one’s own home, in the beauty of Leelanau County. To that end, the focus of ShareCare's work is to: coordinate care by a registered nurse to connect seniors to appropriate agencies that assist in health care and independent living, provide supportive services through volunteers to foster physical and emotional healthy aging in the community, reduce isolation and offer companionship opportunities, and encourage multi-generational activities to build a more robust community.
