Waste WizardA Waste Wizard is an ambassador of Recycle Ann Arbor that informs their communities about waste reduction and local repair, reuse, recycling, composting, and safe disposal outlets. Waste Wizards may assist with online outreach (social media, emails), event outreach (community festivals, presentations), door-to-door education, and neighbor recruitment.ReUse CenterVolunteers can help with customer assistance, sorting and organizing of merchandise, and other special projects as needed.Zero Waste TeamJoin the Zero Waste Team at area events to educate the public about recycling, composting and waste reduction.Drop-Off StationVolunteers can help with customer assistance, sorting of recyclable materials, and other special projects. |

| How you help | As a nonprofit organization, Recycle Ann Arbor relies on the support of volunteers in many capacities to help deliver the best service to our customers. Volunteer for as little as a few hours per year up to regular weekly hours. Unless noted, you must be 18 or older to volunteer with Recycle Ann Arbor. |

| About us | We have deep roots in the Ann Arbor community having first begun collecting recyclables over 40 years ago in 1977. The early years were a true grassroots program: just a truck and some concerned Ann Arbor citizens with the initiative to make a difference. This is our community and we give back by the service we provide, the partnerships we create, and the programs we support. Together we can make a difference. |
