Macomb Emergency Response Group (MERG) Team Volunteer
The Macomb Emergency Response Group (MERG) is a specially-trained team of volunteers from police, fire, emergency medical services, mental health, clergy and other professions which provides Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) services for anyone exposed to a traumatic event or a mass disaster. MERG helps to stabilize the work, school or community setting by responding immediately to the stress of unexpected community crises.

Crisis Center Volunteer
Volunteers play a valuable role at the Macomb County Crisis Center; it is a profoundly rewarding way to give back to the community. Our volunteers receive 48 hours of extensive training and once completed are confidently able to provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention counseling.

The Macomb County Suicide Prevention Coalition (MCSPC) is a group of individuals from many walks of life who are interested in helping to reduce the incidence of suicide in Macomb County, Michigan. Although the membership includes people who work in the fields of social work, education, theology, mental health, medicine, and law enforcement, it is open to anyone who is interested in suicide prevention. You don’t have to be an expert to join in our efforts. |
