About us North End Community Ministry was founded in 1971 with a primary focus of providing youth outreach programs. The shift from youth to food related ministries in the early years came as a result of impending need. Today, in lieu of food offerings, NECM’s 2 ‘Client Choice Food Pantries serve over 650 families per month with food, and our NE Supper House Program serve over 260 individuals per week with a delicious, hot meal. Our Christmas Basket Food Program screens and coordinates baskets for over 400+ families. We also provide a specialty pantry for clients with diabetes and cardiovascular disease through our partnership with Spectrum Health, Healthier Communities and Access of West Michigan. Educational classes on cooking are a key component as well, equipping clients with necessary skills to more effectively manage their resources. and baby layettes for newborns, in addition to many referrals for other services in the community round out our services enabling a better quality of life for those we serve!
