|Our mission||Seeking to put God's love into action, Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.|
|Ways to help||
Construction volunteersConstruction volunteers are out on the job site doing hands-on work in a wide variety of tasks that may include: demolition, framing, siding, hanging drywall, painting, trim work, hardware installation, and various other tasks that go into building or repairing one of our homes. No construction experience is necessary to volunteer on site and you will probably gain some new skills if you volunteer regularly.
Youth VolunteersYouth can volunteer on the construction site or in our ReStore®. Youth must be 16 or older to work on the construction site. Youth under 16 years of age may not be present on active construction sites for safety reasons. To volunteer in the ReStore®, youth must be 14 years or older. Youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or someone the parent has given verbal or written consent to oversee their child.
Office SupportOur office support volunteers are vital to our administrative team and help with operations that are necessary in order to complete our builds. This is a great opportunity for those interested in working in non-profits to gain some experience in the field. Experience in phone and computer usage is required. Familiarity with Google Sheets, Docs, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
ReStoreThe ReStore® is a place for donating and purchasing new and used building materials and home improvement items. All the profits from sales go to supporting our organization and to our builds. Tasks at the ReStore® include: stocking, merchandise intake, store upkeep, organization, and customer service. Our ReStore® location is 12727 Riley Street, Holland, Michigan.
