Kent Conservation District
3200 Eagle Park Dr Ne 100 C, Grand Rapids, MI 49525
| Our mission | To protect and enhance the natural resources of Kent County. |
|---|
| What we do | Kent Conservation District protects the natural resources of Kent County through voluntary programs available for private landowners in rural and urban areas, such as: habitat restoration assistance, Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assistance (MAEAP) verification, and technical assistance to all landowners. We run an invasive species strike team to help control aggressive non-native invasive plants that threaten the health of our local land and water. |
|---|
| How you help | Volunteers assist with tree and native wildflower sales, tree plantings and our invasive species strike team services. We also offer eco-stewardship Service Learning, where you can work with the strike team for an hour or the day to learn how to identify and treat our most highly prioritized invasive species in our favorite County and Township Parks. Four person teams go out daily, even in winter. |
|---|
| About us | The Kent Conservation District was formed in May, 1946, and remains active to this day helping restore, protect, and manage natural resources. In this effort the District depends on your financial contributions to continue building on our successes and leading the way for hands-on conservation in your community. We are trained natural resource management staff and volunteers that are working to protect the health of Kent County. |
