About us Kalamazoo in Bloom purchases approximately 265,000 flowers each fall to be planted across Kalamazoo County in the spring. Over 200 volunteers help plant all the flowers, and bed apdoters maintain the flowerbeds throughout the summer. Bed adopters, as well as bed sponsors (those who donate $300 or more) have their name engraved on a sign planted in a designated bed. Donors, volunteers and other supporters are essential in helping Kalamazoo in Bloom carry out its mission. Kalamazoo in Bloom is also proud to partner with units of local government, garden clubs and greenhouses including the City of Kalamazoo, City of Portage, MSU Extension Kalamazoo County and the Master Gardener Program, Kalamazoo Garden Council, Kalamazoo Valley Plant Growers Cooperative.
