|Our mission||Hidden Harvest’s mission is to alleviate hunger and end food waste in the Great Lakes Bay Region by providing a safe and coordinated system of rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to feed people in need.|
|Ways to help||
VolunteersVolunteers for Hidden Harvest are needed when we have fresh produce that needs to be sorted. Volunteers are needed when we host food distributions.
|Items we need||
Hidden Harvest accepts food donations from individuals, food producers, restaurants, grocery stores, and anything in between. All good food can be used, however, donations of twenty pounds or more help Hidden Harvest to use funds most efficiently.
Host a Food DriveAnybody can help us solve hunger by sharing extra produce from your fruit trees or garden, excess food from your cupboards, etc. Another way to help is by hosting a canned food drive. For more information on planning your own food drive, click here. Learn More
|How you help||Individuals as well as groups are needed and welcomed. Opportunities are available to help rescue food, work in the office and help with special events. Volunteers are also invited to organize food drives or help out with other hunger relief organizations.|
|About us||Hidden Harvest operates on the simple premise that good food should not go to waste when so many people are in need in our community.|
