Miller Rd (Lansing)Apply dry lock to interior of foundation in crawl space under home, health and safety Repair and clean gutters/downspouts, weatherization and waterproofing Apply caulk to cement crack in garage flooring for stability, health and safety After the Storm - Debris Removal/LansingDebris Removal; health and safety Assist with debris removal at a disaster survivor's home. Remove debris that was damaged during the severe storms, tornado, and flooding in Aug. 2023 so that the survivor can obtain healthier and safe living conditions and allow the reconstruction of their home to continue. This disaster was declared by FEMA in Feb. 2024 and our neighbors are still working to recover, repair, and rebuild their homes. We have ongoing home repair and debris removal projects throughout the State and need your assistance to help these neighbors' recover! | About us | After the Storm is a nonprofit dedicated to helping Michigan communities recover from disasters. We’re experienced in rebuilding, debris removal, and connecting people with resources. Our team includes locals who have faced similar challenges, and we use a proven recovery model to support your goals. Founded by the Michigan Conference of The United Methodist Church after the 2022 Detroit flood and Gaylord tornado, we’ve assisted hundreds of families and are trusted by partners across the state. We work with all people and organizations, regardless of religious affiliation, and donations are tax deductible. Before becoming independent, our team helped with recovery projects throughout Michigan, including the Midland dam breach. |
