Our mission	Compelled by God’s love, Buist CAC strives to: love our neighbors by providing food & clothing; spread hope by treating all with dignity and compassion; assist partner ministries in serving their communities.

Opportunities	Donation Pickup Truck and van drivers needed. Opportunities are available to pick up product at various community locations. Opportunities for standard license (in our “Mini” truck) or those with truck driver training (26′ box truck). Occasional 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor, Outdoor None, Skilled Weekdays, Weekends Maintenance/Cleaning Can you fix things? Do you like to clean? We always need individuals to keep our facility and vehicles clean and functioning. Areas of service: cleaning floors, trash, sanitizing, maintaining vehicles, facility repairs, etc. Occasional 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor, Outdoor None Weekdays, Weekends Pantry Staffing Do you enjoy working with people? Opportunities are available to interact with clients and other volunteers. Behind the scenes more your thing? We have plenty of service opportunities and introvert-friendly tasks. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site Weekdays, Weekends Food Packing We recieve food in bulk. Many items like produce, baking products, pasta and cereal need to be broken down into smaller, family-sized packages for our clients. Training provided. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Groups (2-10), Families Indoor On-site Weekdays, Weekends Clothing Sorting Each week we receive a tremendous amount of clothing! For those who have a heart to make sure families have the clothing they need, our sorting team is a great place to get plugged-in; sorting, hanging, retail set-up, and client assistance. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Families Indoor On-site Weekdays, Weekends Connecting We have developed great relationships with individuals and businesses in the community who provide excess product for our clients. Who do you know that might have a service or product that can be used at the BCAC? How you help	Thank for your interest in volunteering at Buist Community Assistance Center. Over 70 people currently come together to share their time, skills, work, and compassion to lovingly serve our neighbors with dignity and respect. This amazing team of people really forms a family to laugh together, work together, care for one another, and make a difference all at the same time.

About us	Buist Community Assistance Center is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 2008, serving residents of Byron Township south of 68th St. and Byron Center Public School district. We provide free food and clothing. Our food pantry consists of dry goods, meat, dairy, fresh produce, and personal care products. Our pantry is client-choice to provide dignity. Quantity is determined by househould size. We compassionately listen to clients share about their situation, educate on resources available/applicable, while sharing encouragement & prayers. Buist CAC assists other non-profit groups in meeting needs in their communities by providing food and resources.
