Our mission	Empowering our low-income neighbors to maintain safe, sustainable, and dignified homes.

Opportunities	Workshop Instructor Want to make a difference in your community? If you have a skill or area of expertise you would like to share, we would love to hear from you! Educate and empower our participants! Share your home repair knowledge and skills! As a Workshop Instructor, you will present the material and answer questions in a casual, friendly, and supportive environment. Workshops/classes focus on solutions to home issues that are affordable and that our participants might be able to do themselves. Community Homeworks provides the instructor with outlines, handouts, and props related to the topic. Workshops and classes are typically two hours in length and are typically scheduled Tuesday/Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm and some Saturdays. We will work with your availability. New instructors will meet with staff for an orientation and review of curriculum materials is necessary. Skills needed: Professional or extensive personal experience with a particular home repair topic Comfortable speaking in front of a group and answering questions Patience and understanding for students of different skill levels Occasional, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Event support Skilled Weekdays, Weekends

How you help	Many families in our community are struggling to make ends meet. Unexpected home repair issues and high utility bills often force families to make tough choices, and often leave them living in stressful, unhealthy, and even unsafe homes. Community Homeworks provides the resources to our at-risk neighbors to make necessary repairs affordable, to provide long-term reduction in housing costs through energy savings, and to make homes safer and healthier. Your support can help stabilize a home, neighborhood, and community.

About us	We know that low-income families face many challenges and we believe that one of the first steps to moving forward is working to create a more stable and sustainable home environment. Often that starts with addressing critical repairs that a homeowner is not able to afford. But at Community Homeworks we are committed to connecting homeowners to resources and opportunities to make more lasting change.
