| About us | Broadway Grand Rapids was established in September of 1988 and opened the first season with South Pacific, starring Robert Goulet. he Broadway series, sponsored since 2010 by Fifth Third Bank, has included nearly every major title to hit the stage from Les Misérables and Phantom of the Opera to Wicked and Hamilton. In 2019, Broadway Grand Rapids entered into a partnership agreement with Broadway Across America, a relationship that enhances the opportunity to present the most current shows from New York to Grand Rapids. The audiences attracted by this top-notch programming become an economic catalyst for the community not just at the theater but at area restaurants, hotels, and other cultural venues. BGR leverages access to performances and performers in order to create educational opportunities for students at schools and colleges and to create unique back-stage opportunities for service clubs and other area organizations. |
