Ways to help

Mentor/Coach

As a mentor or coach, you will meet with clients regularly to provide support, encouragement, and education through the Step Up Program. This program is designed around the client’s unique needs and areas of interest, and allows mentors and clients to work together to create goals. We ask mentors/coaches to commit to a minimum of three hours per week of service. Potential volunteers interested in serving as mentors or coaches must complete the entire Volunteer Training Program. This training is offered three times per year (typically in January, May/June, and September) and consists of four classroom sessions and a period of experiential learning upon completing the classroom training.
