About us

A Glimpse of Africa is a festival aimed at showcasing the rich, diverse and beautiful African cultures through Fashion, Art, Food, Dance, Music and more. Africa is the home and heart of diversity, and our festival will give you A Glimpse of that and more, and an opportunity to enjoy the African hospitality.

The purpose is:

  • To bring people together for a more united productive community.
  • To create opportunities to support local causes.
  • To increase visibility and to improve the African community engagement in West Michigan.
  • To enrich the diversity in the city of Grand Rapids, through sharing and learning different communities’ cultures.
  • To create a platform to showcase, market, and promote local talents and businesses.
