Our mission	Dedicated to fostering hope, healing, and resilience by offering a welcoming space where individuals facing mental health challenges can receive peer support, engage in meaningful activities, and connect to essential resources that promote recovery and self-sufficiency.

Opportunities	Program and Special Event Volunteer General Volunteer Responsibilities PPDC volunteers may assist with a variety of tasks, including: Greeting and welcoming clients as they arrive Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility Assisting staff with daily program activities and group engagement Supporting meal or snack distribution (if applicable) Helping organize supplies, donations, and program materials Providing friendly conversation and companionship to clients Assisting with sign-in sheets or basic administrative tasks Client Engagement Support Volunteers are encouraged to positively interact with clients by: Participating in recreational or skill-building activities Encouraging socialization and inclusion among participants Supporting structured groups led by staff when appropriate Special Events & Activities Volunteers are especially valuable during PPDC special events. Responsibilities may include: Assisting with event setup and breakdown (decorations, tables, seating, etc.) Helping coordinate activities, games, or entertainment Distributing food, giveaways, or event materials Greeting guests and helping with event flow Supporting themed events such as holiday celebrations, community days, or outreach programs Ensuring a welcoming, positive, and organized environment for all attendees Additional Contributions Depending on interest and availability, volunteers may also: Assist with fundraising or donation drives Help promote community awareness events Provide support with creative projects (flyers, decorations, activity planning) One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly, Ongoing, Recurring 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Corporate Teams, Families Skills-based, Office work, Event support, Indoor, Project-based On-site Weekdays Learn More Be the Difference Volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive environment at Perfect Place Drop-In Center (PPDC). Whether you have a few hours or ongoing availability, there are many meaningful ways to make a difference. Provide Peer Support & Engagement Spend time talking, listening, and engaging with participants Help create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere Encourage connection and inclusion among members Sometimes the most impactful thing you can do is simply be present. Assist with Groups & Activities Help facilitate recreational or skill-building activities Support group discussions and wellness sessions Assist staff in setting up and organizing programs Help with Daily Operations Assist with meal or snack distribution Help maintain a clean and organized environment Support front desk or check-in processes Support Life Skills Development Help participants with basic skills like: Job searching or resume building Communication and social skills Goal setting and daily routines Connect & Share Resources Help distribute information about community services Assist participants in navigating available resources Provide encouragement and guidance Volunteer at Events & Outreach Help with special events, workshops, and community days Support outreach efforts to engage new participants Represent PPDC in the community Share Your Skills We welcome volunteers with special talents, such as: Art, music, or fitness instruction Career coaching or mentoring Mental health or wellness knowledge Be a Positive Presence Treat everyone with respect and compassion Help create a judgment-free environment Support PPDC’s mission of hope, healing, and growth One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly, Ongoing, Recurring 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Corporate Teams, Families Skills-based, Office work, Event support, Project-based On-site Weekdays

How you help	At Perfect Place Drop-In Center (PPDC), we provide supportive, person-centered services designed to meet individuals where they are and help them move forward with confidence. Peer Support & Connection We offer a safe space where individuals can connect with trained peer support specialists and others who share similar experiences. Through conversation, encouragement, and understanding, we help reduce isolation and build a sense of belonging. Mental Health Support Our center promotes emotional well-being by providing a supportive environment where individuals can openly express themselves, learn coping skills, and strengthen their mental health in a non-judgmental setting. Life Skills & Personal Growth We provide activities, groups, and guidance focused on: Building daily living skills Improving communication and social skills Setting and achieving personal goals Connection to Resources We help individuals navigate and access essential services, including: Housing support Employment resources Healthcare and community programs A Safe & Welcoming Environment PPDC is a place where everyone is valued. We create a respectful, inclusive atmosphere where individuals can: Feel safe and supported Take a break from daily stressors Build confidence and independence
