| How you help | In addition to donating, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities; the majority of which are shoe cleaning and donation bag assembly. Â Shoe cleaning is an essential step in our process to ensure that the materials being provided to youth are in good condition and ready to be worn. Additionally we create “SunBundles” that are given to our outreach partners. These bundles include items such as electrolytes, gatorade chews, hydration and nutrition information cards, sunscreen, sweat towels, and athletic clothing. We put all of this equipment into a bag via an assembly line. Having volunteers is extremely helpful for making sure our process runs efficiently. |

| About us | The SunBundle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that up-cycles athletic gear and redistributes it to underserved communities. Our organization was founded and is ran by student athletes at The University of Michigan who had access to high quality athletic gear and saw much of it going to waste. The SunBundle’s three step process is collection, organization, and distribution/ outreach. We provide both physical donations as well as programming with the communities we serve. Our programs work on goal setting, education surrounding health and wellness, and mentoring: all lead by current and former division I athletes. We are passionate about giving back to the community and ensuring no child loses the opportunity to grow through sports due to financial barriers. |
