SCRAP Creative Reuse

SCRAP Creative Reuse is a local creative reuse center seeking handy volunteers with a background in handywork! We have tasks that range from mounting shelves, to minor electrical work, and a variety of things in between.

At SCRAP we intake 5,000 lbs of donated material each month. We are a small team here at SCRAP, and we rely on our volunteers to help keep the store running smoothly. If you are passionate about reuse culture, and getting creative with ways to save our planet, this is the opportunity for you! We have a variety of small tasks that need to be taken care of in this role, including repairing lighting fixtures and ceiling fans, mounting shelves, and other light carpentry tasks around the store. SCRAP Creative Reuse is a local creative reuse center seeking creative volunteers to help us out with our crafternoons! A crafternoon is a crafty event with a theme. Each week is a different adventure. Our concierge would be responsible for checking in our crafters, helping with basic instructions on pre-prepared crafts, and answering customer questions during the event. A staff member will always be available to assist the concierge when needed, and you will be instructed on the craft before participants arrive. Crafternoons are typically on Saturday from 2pm-4pm, so we are looking for a person to be available from 1:30-4:30 for 1-3 days per month. You would not need to commit to every week, we are looking for 2-3 people to fill this role for flexibility with scheduling. If this sounds like you, please let us know!

SCRAP Creative Reuse is a local creative reuse center searching for fiber fanatics!

Join our elite team of volunteers who help us price the heaps of fabric that is donated to SCRAP. You will also help us keep the fabric section looking organized and eye-catching.

At SCRAP we intake 5,000 lbs of donated material each month. Our largest and most frequent donations are fabric yardage. We are looking for volunteers that have a love for fabric to measure, roll, price, and sort our fabrics. We also are in need of volunteers who can sort, organize, and stock our notions section… This includes buttons, threads, trim, patterns, and other sewing-related bits. We are a small team here at SCRAP, and we rely on our volunteers to keep new items flowing out to the floor everyday. If you are passionate about reuse culture, and getting creative with ways to save our planet, this is the opportunity for you!

SCRAP Creative Reuse is a local creative reuse center seeking creative volunteers to make fun, fancy, and cute packs & kits from our huge inventory of reuse materials.

Help SCRAP make our ever-popular To Go Kits, Stuffie Kits, and Collage Packs for us to sell both in the store and at community events.

At SCRAP we intake 5,000 lbs of donated material each month. Many of the items we receive are mixed little bits. We are a small team here at SCRAP, and we rely on our volunteers to help sort and keep new items flowing out to the floor everyday. If you are passionate about reuse culture, and getting creative with ways to save our planet, this is the opportunity for you! Creative Kit volunteers would sort through various small materials to create fun kits and packs to add to our sales floor.

If you love to organize then you’ll love helping us! Volunteers are the main force behind keeping our store clean and organized. You’ll assist with organizing sections, putting out materials and keeping the store looking nice.
