The International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit (IIMD) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building an inclusive, equitable, and just society by supporting both foreign-born and native-born residents in Metro Detroit. Founded in 1919, IIMD fosters integration through education, career development, citizenship support, and cultural exchange. Through partnerships and community programs, we advance civic participation and celebrate the rich diversity of the region.

Through personalized Guided Personal Strategies (GPS), participants actively set goals and access comprehensive services, accelerating their journey toward empowerment and economic success.
