Mission: To empower community members through training and education to effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from local disasters by assisting first responders and supporting their community during emergencies
Nester Township CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is comprised of citizen volunteers and professional first responders. Volunteers range from teens to those well into retirement, professionals with decades of experience in the field to those with none at all, those with limited physical ability and those without, and from all across the surrounding counties and region.

Members train regularly in skills and principles related to general preparedness and disaster response. Specific topics include fire safety, light search & rescue, disaster medical operations, team organization and much more. Volunteers gain knowledge and skills to better prepare themselves and their familes in the event of any emergency, and help our community as well!
