We are a regional education service agency serving all public, and some private and charter schools of Muskegon and parts of Oceana, Ottawa and Newaygo counties. our agency, know as the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District (ISD) primarily serves the 12 public school districts and academies within Muskegon County’s 557 square miles.

[agency_mission] =>

As an education service agency, our primary mission is to provide leadership and programming that enhances the success of everyone it serves.

Our Career and College Readiness department is leading the countywide efforts that provide local districts, students and their families with the tools, knowledge, information and resources needed to create a college and career ready culture.

As a part of that work we oversee and manage all MAISD Career and College Readiness programming including a KickStart to Career Children’s Savings Account initiative, K-12 Grade Level Career Education and 9-12 Work-based Learning exposure and placement assistance. All programming is universal across (16) local districts as educational opportunities promoting post-secondary readiness and success for everyone and is financially supported via the efforts of the Muskegon Area Promise.

Many of our programs require classroom volunteers, guest speakers, employer vendors and industry professionals and partners willing to hire our students as interns, summer employees and long term staff. We are hopeful Get Connected can help us fill our needs and build our partnerships for years to come.
