Here in Howell’s Downtown, we’re a lot different. In a good way. Where else can you stroll amid historical buildings that are over 100 years old? Proud of ourselves? Well, yes. We have a lot to be proud of. The inviting atmosphere. The wide smiles and warm welcomes. Our acclaimed festivals and events. Over forty different specialty retailers (from traditional to hip & quirky) and deliciously different dining options. Parks, a beach, that remarkable historical architecture…we could go on. But really, what we’re most proud of is each other.

Howell Main Street Inc. is a volunteer-led organization focused on creating a vibrant, strong, and economically viable downtown.  Our mission is accomplished by using the Main Street Four-Point Approach to further our commitment to historic preservation, infrastructure improvements, quality events, and promoting downtown Howell as the heart and hub of the community.
