How you help | We offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for youth and adults at the Lakeshore Museum Center and Historic Sites in Muskegon that are sure to meet your area of interest. Individualized training and supervision are provided for all volunteers. Volunteering at the Museum is not only fun, but also rewarding. |

About us | The Lakeshore Museum Center houses our natural and cultural history exhibits. It is comprised of multiple sites and buildings including the Hackley & Hume Historic Site, the Fire Barn Museum, the Scolnik House of the Depression Era, the Muskegon Heritage Museum, the Archives, and our Museum Store. Wonder, imagine, adventurous, brave and more! When you visit our museums, you take a 400 million year journey that explores Muskegon County’s rich history with exciting exhibits, hands-on activities and a variety of programs across multiple historic sites.
