Our mission

A foster-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for homeless animals.
Opportunities

Foster

Now being a foster – based organization, our needs have changed. We have a great need for those who are willing to open their homes and hearts and foster animals. We want our animals to be smothered with love and attention by our volunteers until we can find them all a new mommy and/or daddy to take over.

Volunteer

In addition, we have need for volunteers doing transportation, working at events, fundraising, marketing, photography, sending email, distributing flyers, etc.

Even without a ‘brick and mortar’ shelter at this point in time, there are so many, many ways you can help! Just let us know what you’re interested in doing – every little thing helps! You’ll be joining a group of dedicated people who love animals as much as you do!
About us

Almost Home became the first Never Kill 501 (c)(3) animal rescue organization. Almost Home is the one and only pure never kill organization. It’s truly a place for dogs and cats to not only feel safe but to be safe. We are so proud of our work and all the people who are instrumental in saving lives with us.
