About us

H.E.R. (Heal. Empower. Restore.) Refuge is located in Lenawee County offering a free, faith-based, long-term residential treatment program for female adolescents. We exist to serve girls, ages thirteen to seventeen, battling depression, anxiety, self-harm, substance abuse, and eating disorders as well as those who are survivors of abuse, neglect, and trauma. Our community has limited treatment options as there are currently no long-term residential treatment programs in our area and no faith-based programs in southeast Michigan. Girls may also experience limited access to other long-term residential treatment programs due to waiting lists, financial hindrances and transportation barriers. H.E.R. Refuge aims to overcome these challenges by providing a high quality, faith-based residential treatment program in Lenawee County at no cost to the families in need of this service.
