Academic Support

Monitor student performance, review content, help problem solve, develop study skills and organizational techniques to help improve academic performance.

Passion Project

What is your passion? Yoga? Soccer? Art? Baking? Create a positive environment where the children learn fundamental skills, teamwork, and responsibility. Whatever your talent, we welcome you to share it with our kiddos. After school (4-7), weekends, or summers.

Special Events Volunteer

Join us in the planning of one of our three major fundraisers: Tux and Tennies Gala and Auction, Whaley Golf Classic, World’s Greatest Office Party.

-Join a Host Committee- attend monthly fundraising focused meetings. Procure items/donations for live and silent auctions. Advocate in community for support of fundraising efforts.

-Day of event opportunities include registration, auction assistance, manning profit centers, set up, tear down.

Donation Center

Our 3rd floor donation center houses all of our clothing, bedding, personal care, and school donations. We utilize it as a shopping center for our children. We are always in need of individuals and groups to organize clothing and stock our shelves to make it an easy place for our kids to shop. Monday-Friday 9-5 or by appointment.

How you help

Some volunteers come in on a regular schedule, others visit just once. You can make a difference at our Center based around your availability.
About us

Whaley Children’s Center provides shelter, hope and healing to nearly 90 children each year who are survivors or horrific abuse and neglect. Through an intense treatment process provided by qualified and dedicated staff, children are taught the skills necessary to thrive in life as well as given strategies to cope with their past and press on to greater futures.
