Programs To Educate All Cyclists Is Dedicated To Empowering Individuals With Disabilities Through Cycling, Active Transportation, And Self-advocacy Education.

Teaching how to ride

Assist in teaching students with disabilities to ride bikes. The Summer Cycling Program is a specific program held that teaches students skills ranging from the basics of riding like braking and balance to the more complex skills of community riding and using the bike as a mode of transportation.

Advocacy

PEAC students have been on boards related to accessibility for the Regional Transit Authority (RTA), the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG), and other committees related to transportation and accessibility. Every year, students attend one day events for advocacy like the League of Michigan Bicyclists’ Bicycle & Trail Advocacy Day. Through advocacy, students work to create more accessible communities where various modes of transportation and infrastructure are provided.

We’re a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Ypsilanti, Michigan that advocates for transportation equity for Michiganders with disabilities. Our travel training programs teach people have to ride bikes and public transit safely and independently.
