To be a contemporary forum for the visual arts through education, exploration, collaboration and exhibition. We engage minds, expand perspectives and inspire growth in students of all ages, teachers, artists and the community.

Volunteers are an invaluable resource for the Art Center. We welcome expertise in all areas, at any level, and for short and long-term projects. Whether you’d like to help with mailings for one day or serve on a committee for one year; we have something for everyone.

Since 1909 the Ann Arbor Art Center has been sparking creativity in people of all ages and artistic abilities. Through innovative programming, provocative exhibitions, wide-ranging learning courses, and a gallery shop offering handmade artworks, the Art Center engages over 60,000 people annually in exploring the arts.
