Our mission

The mission of the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau is to positively impact the area’s economy by marketing the region as a travel destination.
Opportunities

Greater Lansing Sports Authority

The Greater Lansing Sports Authority is a sub-division of the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau. Assist the Greater Lansing Sports Authority with various athletic tournaments and events throughout the community. Events are primarily on weekends. Duties range from registration assistance to supporting athletes’ needs. These events provide the perfect backdrop for corporate team building or high school community service credits.

Greater Lansing Certified Tourism Ambassador Program

The Greater Lansing Certified Tourism Ambassador program is a nationally recognized certification program presented by the Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau and Team Lansing Foundation. The goal of the program is to inspire front-line hospitality employees and volunteers to work together to turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience.

About us

The GLCVB is the third largest convention and visitor’s bureau in the state. We are a regional Destinations International (DI) accredited nonprofit organization focused on bringing visitors to Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties. We have a 60-year history as an economic catalyst for the hospitality industry in the region. What that boils down to is we want you to love Greater Lansing just like we do. Whether you’re traveling for a sports tournament, professional conference or to visit our many attractions, we want your trip to be successful, memorable and, of course, just plain fun.
