We rescue shelter dogs, train them in our prison programs, pair them with veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Traumatic Brain Injury, and continue their training to be service dogs. By doing this, we are Rescuing One to Heal Another!

All volunteers must be adults, supervised minors or minors participating with an organization (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Honor Society, etc.) to work at the Training Center or events without the supervision of a responsible adult.

Blue Star Service Dogs transforms shelter dogs into individually trained Psychiatric Service Animals for our military veterans living with combat-related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury at no cost to the veteran.
